Course hours: Course begins at 8:00 AM and ends approximately 4:30 PM each day. All attendees will meet in the main classroom at The Site on each day of training.
Course description: This course will provide the attendees the practical, hands-on capability to build match grade ammunition specific to their individual long range or hunting rifles. In conjunction with Forster Reloading Products, the class focuses entirely on what’s essential when building precision rifle ammunition. Forster Products personnel and Pro-staff members will be demonstrating and providing individual guidance on the proper setup and use of the Co-ax press, dies, case prep, case inspection and measuring tools.
< https://www.forsterproducts.com/about-us/forster-prostaff/>. Other manufacture’s match grade reloading products will also be demonstrated and used. The first day will consist of classroom demonstrations and reloading your match ammunition immediately followed by live fire evaluation on the range at 100 yards. On day 2 you will be shown the proper way to set up dies to obtain key cartridge measurements on your once fired brass then again evaluating your reloads on the range at an extended distance beyond 100 yards. On a final note, this is neither a load development class nor a long-range shooting class but rather a course that establishes a firm foundation for understanding the essential steps for reloading to your rifle’s full accuracy potential.
Subject matter covered will include but not limited to:
- Safe reloading practices
- Reloading equipment familiarization: Presses, priming tools, powder measures and scales, dies, case prep and inspection tools
- Reloading components: powder, primers, cases and bullets
- Case prep steps for new and fire-formed cases
- Key case measurement points

- Priming
- Cartridge component selection
